Ballet slippers are not included with this costume; however, you can easily customize the ballet outfit with her slippers from ballet class or you can purchase the ballet slippers separately. Child Ballet slippers can be found at discount prices for under $10 and any dance supply store. One thing you will want to consider is the sole of the ballet shoe. Traditional ballet shoes have leather on the sole, but modern ballet shoes have a split sole with leather on the ball of the foot and the heel only. While the modern slippers are great for dance movement, you will better off getting a pair to slippers with the traditional leather soles. You can buy them in leather or, if you wish to dye them to match the costume, get a pair of inexpensive satin or canvas ballet slippers. Or, if she has an older pair of ballet slippers from a ballet class, consider dying these to match the costume’s color.
There are stores that will dye ballet shoes for you can easily do it yourself if you wish. There are quite a few resources online that explain how to dye both satin and leather ballet slippers.
